There's this girl I met some time ago. I don't need to say that she's my all world now etc etc.

She's from different school so I see her really rarely, though we sometimes bump into each other at a bus stop (or should I say 'we used to bumped into each other' because unfortunetaly it hasn't happen recently)

I screwed up earlier when I asked her out despite of quite bad circumstances and nothing well got out of it. But we continued to text via internet and now we text to each other almost every day, quite much, I think. I know it may seem lame but that's the only way I can keep in touch with her. And now I've got two problems:

1) Even though we text a lot, I think we do it in more 'friendly' than I think we should. I mean - there's really much humor in these talks (although we sometimes talk about serious stuff too: e.g. when something bothers her) - almost everything we both say isn't 100% serious, we "argue" in a funny way etc. I know it's difficult by texting but I think that I should redirect these conversations into something more flirty. Any advices?

1) The Winter Break is coming and tomorrow is the last day when I could talk to her in person. Because of the upcoming break I would like to, hmm, how to say it, make her remember me for this holiday. I want to throw her some nice and smooth compliment and... now WHAT. I am not sure if I should talk about normal stuff or what to gain as much attention as I could. I don't want to overdo it but I'm not sure if a normal casual talk is the one I'm looking for for tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for your help, guys, and sorry if my English is bad.

Your timing is off.

Wish her happy holidays. Enjoy the break apart & then when the spring term starts bite the bullet & ask her to your winter formal or some other school sponsored dance.
