hey mixwell,..have you been tested yet for STD's?

I have been tested for AIDs in the past but not recently. I have no health insurance.. I also feel confident that the condom to prevent the STD's and pregnancy worked like all of the research and money that went into it... If I had insurance I might take one but I feel that I was safe about the situation.. Maybe one day I will take one when i can get some freaking medical ins..

You can get tested for free at the county health department. I do it every 6 months just as a matter of course.

Quit saying that, it's starting to make me laugh. How much research money goes into areonautical science-planes still crash. Sheesh.

Sorry, I haven't been back to this thread in a couple of days, and I didn't notice your post, Otter. I respect your posts too, btw. :) And you've made some insightful points.

However, I don't think self-control is beyond the capabilities of most people. Possibly, it's beyond the ability of folks who are mentally ill, but otherwise it's pretty much do-able.

Morality is of course in the eye of the beholder....but while Mixwell is on the 'great hunt' for his next girlfriend....I would very much doubt that his use of prostitutes will be a selling point, or even something he would feel free to share with a potential g/f candidate. He says he's proud of it, but I suppose time will tell how proud he'll be in the future.

My personal value system does not include prostitution as acceptable, mostly for all the reasons that Spock has said. From a consumer standpoint, Mixwell didn't just give his money to a young girl who's selling her body....but also the "escort" service who pimped her out. I don't know who they are....but I can't imagine that they're honest, trustworthy folks.

And you know, as a woman.....I'd just like to see every woman choosing her lovers because she was emotionally moved to do so. I think EVERYONE deserves that. Paying cash devalues what ought to be a gift. And so, in that respect and in the broadest of terms, it's also offensive to me.

Human beings aren't 'beasts of the field'. We can always strive to be better tomorrow than we were today. That's the beauty of free will. When you use your choices to do something that feeds your soul. :)

Just because prostitution has been going on for nearly all of recorded history doesn't mean that it will continue to do so. Heck, women weren't allowed to vote 100 years ago in the U.S. And now, they can. ;)

How do you know she was clean? Did you examine her test records? Do you know for a fact that they did a bloodtest to test her for Hepatitis B? HepB is very very prevalent in Asia. HepB is a killer on the liver and the lucky ones are carriers of the virus but 10% become very sick and go into liver failure. Condoms aren't 100% effective to protect you. You willing to risk your health forever and then put a future girlfriend at risk of catching YOUR diseases?

If men ACTUALLY ruled the universe, instead of supposedly ruled it, prostitution would be legal. Prohibition of alchohol? Yep, pushed by the women's sufferage movement.

It doesn't matter if you're a consenting adult .... mommy still knows what's best for you. And if you don't know what's wrong with you, just ask. She'll be more than happy to point it out.

Obviously I am not going to tell my next g/f canidate.. Only my friends, family, and you fine folks here on LS know about it.. Honestly I don't really care anymore.. I mean i won't look back on it and feel bad about it. Same way i think with Tattoos.. If i am older and don't like them, I won't even care at that point.. i dont sweat the small shiz..

read back on the past threads and you will find your answers.. This topic has already been discussed.. Why do you assume that just because she is a prosti that i automatically have something ? Also I did admit that condoms aren't 100% safe.. They are about 98% I beleive from what I last heard about it.. You can get std's from anyone.. Just because its a prostitute doesn't mean I automatically have something.. again I know what you are going to say and I will say this. I am assuming (not good to do that) that you are going to say " but mixwell she has sex with a lot of peeps so her chances of std's are higher" I will repeat myself and say that I feel safe that the condom did its job like its supposed to. You know how many millions of dollars have gone into condom research.. I hope the tax payers money is worth it.. (Sorry Spock I know you didn't want to hear this again) haha :D

Ok im out..

Peace

Actually, MIXWELL, I believe that call girls (not streetwalkers) practice some of the safest sex on the planet Earth. Mainly cause their livelihood depends upon it.

Posted

Going to a call girl who uses a condoms only policy with her clients is likely much statistically safer than just having casual sex with some you've gone out on a date or two with where you have no idea what kind of safe sex they have or have not used in the past ... especially if the pill, IUD or shot as their method of birthcontrol.

This whole STD thing is really a red herring anyway. Not everyone you think has morally questionable behavour is "diseased".

Posted

I would just be more concerned with genital warts and herpes. Those are not protected against with condoms. Why do you think the prostitutes at the Bunny Ranch do a "dick check" before they have sex with a customer? They are trying to see if there are any warts or lesions because they know condoms won't protect them against that.

Also, I went to an AIDS seminar a few years ago and the speaker was saying that you can even get HIV from *heavy* kissing. It can cause tiny tears and abrasions in your mouth that *can* transmit the virus. Although, it seems like I heard that prostitutes don't kiss clients....

Mixwell is not going to regret his decision UNLESS he gets something...

I saw this on someone's profile once, it went something like this:

"Getting a negative pregnancy test is like stealing something from the grocery store and not getting caught."

LOL I think this could apply to std's too.

You've got to be kidding me.

Its not ridiculous, there is historical precident for it. Look at the reaction of the men in the thread to the women. As noted above, alchohol prohibition was driven by the women's sufferage movement. Anti-pornography legislation is endorsed and pushed by a mixture of wacky religious politicos and women's rights groups. What few countries that still have legalized prostitution and being pressured by women's rights organizations to change it.

Men are trained and conditioned by women, not unlike the way Pavlov conditioned his dogs, into being usefull to them. As compensation for their labors men are given periodic use of a woman's vagina. There is a reason why women so vehemently dislike their female peers who give up sex too easily. You'll hear a woman describe another woman as a slut much more often than you'll ever hear a man use the term. If such things were to become common, that's taking away all the leverage. How will men ever behave then?

Prostitution is case where naughty dogs are getting goodies without learning to sit and beg first. Bad boys !! Bad boys !! Now let me swipe you with my rolled up newspaper as I try to attack your male ego by calling you a loser and pathetic.

Welcome to the club. Except instead of just one thread, I'm scared by the 95% of unchallenged manipulation and misandry that passes for conventional thought on this entire site. I don't even mind the misandry so much, I just wish it were a little more Margaret Mead and a little less Oprah Winfrey.

:lmao:

Why does it always seem the "scarier" posts by men are written by those who DON'T get periodic use of a woman's vagina?? For free, I mean.

I think it's laughable to label opposition to your POV as feminist, since you would be too scared to tangle with a REAL one.

Posted

Any why do women assume that any man who's slightly sceptical of the feminist viewpoint simply isn't getting any? I'm sick of seeing that term... please don't accuse others on the internet of not getting any. It's overused, immature, irrelevant - and you truly don't know anyway.
