I'm not looking for anything the next few months as I just became this volunteer position and have extensive training. Just curious to see what time of the year did you started dating your significant other.

I am not currently in a relationship, but last bf, we met in February of last year. One before that we met in December. One before, don't remember exactly when, I think it was closer to the summer months....then I dated guys casually and we met at various times of year.

I find that I feel more inclined to want romance in the holiday season and start having more nostalgic feelings then but I've met and dated people at all times of year.

I met my ex on new years eve a few years ago. I originally was talking to his best friend that night. My friends showed up late that night.

Like MissBee, I'm not in a RL right now and for the reason(s) she mentioned (nostalgic feeeeelings), I wouldn't want to date someone over the holidays cuz I don't want them to be with me cuz they are lonely, feel they "gotta" be with someone cuz of the holidays and/or just want someone to curl up to and stay warm with.

Same goes for the peak of summer months for me. Don't wanna meet/date someone cuz afraid they are gonna be all into me cuz of the sun, drinks, good times, rather than getting to know/wanting "me".

I think the way my ex and I met was perfect, met on NYE so we just had fun at beginning. We dated when little pressures occurred. I dislike valentines day with a passion. Actually didn't start dating until Spring break (he had PTSD and was a vet so the relationship it self was very difficult). I felt like that was a good time. My brother met his now gf during the fall, after summer. I've been single for 3 years. Haven't been in a committed relationship since my ex, just haven't met anyone who makes me want to get to know them. Guys at church are so hard to read. Don't get me wrong I think guys at church are cute, but I feel like it is more of a physical attraction on my part.

Sportygirl,

October, first date was to the movies, and we were a "couple" by the end of the month.

Ha, ha, though it didn't occur at the time, all my relationships and marriage began, generally, during the period between New Years and Valentine's Day.
