tanya91 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 So ive been trying to resist posting on here but Im having a down day and need people to talk to. Basically, I was in a relationship for over 2 years, and 2 weeks ago, my ex dumped me via text completely out of the blue saying we had drifted apart and we wanted different things from life. 3 weeks earlier, we had just returned from living abroad and so we are currently living separately whilst we got our lives back together and so hadnt seen much of each other recently as before when we lived together, however, i thought that things were still great, (we had been looking at places to live together, open a joint back account, go on a family holiday together all in the 3 weeks of being back in the uk) He obviously means the world to me, but we havent contacted each other since the day of the breakup and I am dying to text him. I dont want him back, I just want to catch up. We have been through so much together and it feels like im missing my right arm not seeing him or speaking to him. I know that everyone will say to stick with NC but one little text wont hurt will it....
beautifulinside2 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Tanya, I think after two years together breaking up via text is a really disappointing and undeserved. This reason alone is one huge reason not to contact your ex, but the next is he dumped you so that means he didn't want to be with you anymore and didn't value your relationship enough to communicate and continue to try. Don't try to catch up try to move on.
