qq2016 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) I have been seeing this awesome guy for a couple of weeks He said he really likes me and such, but he worries about my career as he probably expects his future partner to have a good job with a nice pay. I am currently unemployed We text each day. Today in our texts I teased him but he didn't know that I was joking. I asked him to find another girl who has a career, but he was upset after I telling him this and said he doesn't want me to bring this up again. I said ok, I would be sad if he finds someone else. His response to this is" I have no plans to Mrs.<my name>"(I am never married I don't know why he called me Mrs, I sometimes call him Mr. his name for fun). What does his text mean? Was he implying that he has no future plans with me and don't see me as a potential life partner?? I am confused.... Thanks Edited December 17, 2015 by qq2016
Michelle ma Belle Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Relax. He probably made a mistake with the "Mrs" or it auto corrected itself. It sounds like he's into you. Just be careful not to over analyze it to death please.

When someone says "I have no plans to you" I would understand it as I don't want you
GunslingerRoland Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I don't read it like that at all, he is telling you he has no plans too try to find someone else. I'm not sure how else you could read it actually. He's missing a comma, but I don't see how to interpret it the way you are trying to. 1

Him: I have no plans to [find someone else], Mrs.<my name> Relax - it was a positive exchange. He was reciprocating you calling him Mr <his name> by referring to you as Mrs <your name>. Maybe his phone corrected from "Miss" or"Ms" to "Mrs," but I wouldn't worry about it. Are you looking for work? Do you have prospects? 1
Space Ritual Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 He meant he has no plans to see anyone else. And he likes you. That is what he meant. I agree with Michelle though, and it is for a different reason. You said he seems to be worried about your career. At this early stage in the game he is probably protecting himself as maybe he had a relationship previously with some one who was a deadbeat or showed no initiative. So don't over analyze things with him and take it slow. Sometimes people have a capacity to show their good side initially and turn out to be a total ass and worry about appearances and material things far too much later down the road. Only reason I say that is I am about the least materialistic person you'd ever want to meet, and some people simply make snap judgements about me daily because I am not a very trendy guy in fashion or material possessions. It matters to a lot of people but it never mattered to me. I'd rather be with a pauper I loved and could relate to than a Gucci Bag toting witch who thought she was the best thing since sliced bread that had the brains of a Mattel Toy.
