Most guys I know wouldn't "get it" it though...unless a woman blatantly dropped something where they were close enough where he could conveniently pick it up ...without making a point to rush across the room like an idiot. Then of course, one would have to start an actual convo after.... other than her thanking him. JMO though. That said ...why not just be straightforward and give him your number? Why play those coy games ....which he might not even "get" anyway? Not understanding that ...but to each his own. Katie I know this is 2015 and all but some men actually like to be men, women to be women and be allowed to "help" or assist. Its not a "coy game" - its a way to strike up conversation. My grandparents may be old hat but considering as they made their marriage last for nearly 70 years and the ONLY thing that broke it was my grandfather dying... well I am more inclined to think that they KNOW what makes love and marriage work more than a bunch of people on the internet who have totally screwed up their relationships... myself included. This is actually how my cousin and her fiancé got together as well (on my grandmothers advice). She purposefully dropped something and he picked it up and started talking to her. Shock horror they are in their early 20s and after spending many happy years together are getting married next year. So katiegrl save your barbed comments. We are all capable of them - its choosing not to use them that shows who we are. 3

My smiles didnt work or hes taken (with my luck that makes sense lol) Thanks anyways guys Same time, same place next week. Maybe he'll have the same idea, and be better prepared to approach.
