deep_night Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 i always thought it's interesting to know how men feel when they have a need for "space". by "space" i dont mean them cutting off all contact and being cold or rude. more like taking a day or two with less communication but still, being nice and warm with you. someone told me that he craves closeness and intimacy and then he feels the need to be alone for a while. he said it with a bit of guilt, but i think that it's something rather normal for men (i have observed male family members). it doesn't offend me at all, especially when someone is so nice about it and actually comes "recharged". im just curious to understand how guys really feel inside before they do that, during, and afterwards. just for the sake of understanding men and loving men for who they are <3
ManyDissapoint Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 For me I notice when I spend too much time with a girl, I start to feel claustrophobic, contained and the result is a bit of an irritability and being a bit zoned out. When she's gone, I feel relieved and like I can be myself on my own, and I look forward to hanging out with people with whom I can likewise be myself. After a day or three I miss her and crave her company and her sex. Then the cycle starts over again. Note that this does not apply to women who I feel are long term candidates later on in an actual relationship. Note that this DOES apply even to long term candidate women in the beginning stages of the relationship.
