I started talking to this "cop" from OLD, he gave me his facebook info and we decided to exchange numbers. I looked at his fb, and his pictures were accurate like his profile. I asked if he is at work, and told me no, that he's on leave because of "Brain Surgery." I'm like umm yeah.. Someone who just had brain surgery is on a dating site and is able to text??? Brain surgery? I've never heard of that one before. I smell a catfish.

Just discontinue mailing him if you feel that way.

How many friends does he have on FB? What other pics can you see? Are they all selfies or with other people? Anyone interacting on his account or is silent?

Does sound a tad fishy but then again he could be who he says he is but just enjoys milking the sympathy teet from unsuspecting women on dating sites. It's not like that hasn't happened before :p

He might have a really weird sense of humour and could be joking. Ask him what he's having done and see if he cracks. Then come and tell us!

After brain surgery he wouldn't be able to go back to his physical job for at least a few months but that doesn't mean that he can't meet you for a drink, and he would still be able to text you lol. I agree though that it's a big red flag.

Look, his brain surgery could be real and it doesn't mean the surgery was unsuccessful, leaving him a moron! All you can do is check him out real good. Hell, do a background check online. Look at as many photos as possible, find out if he's married, see if he looks like he has lots of friends or not. ASK him what the outcome of his brain surgery was and why he had brain surgery.

Now, I do know a guy through a friend who had brain surgery 20 years ago and despite being perfectly able to do most work has chosen to remain on disability all these years. He tells my friend he was a big computer wiz back before it happened, but then everything she's told me he knew how to do was all very basic maintenance stuff.

Just ask some questions, do some research. He might be a great guy.

Oh jesus. My dad had brain surgery years ago, and if it's not like he was a vegetable afterward. There are many different kinds of brain surgery. Maybe you should ask him about it. Great conversation starter.

Missed you, Bobbi7.

Missed you, Bobbi7.

That about sums up this thread. Bobbi7 finding some random thing wrong with a guy who is otherwise perfect and posting a thread about it, like every other thread she makes. lol

Was going to say the same thing. An acoustic neuroma removal is consider brain surgery. Why wouldn't a convalescing person be on the Internet, socializing?

Are you sure he didn't say 'brain salad surgery'? Ask him if he's got his ELP collection out. :)
