Last night, my boyfriend called me and told me he was going to call me back then hung up. A minute later, I called him again and then he told me he was going to call me back again and then never called me back. Was it wrong of me to call him right away after he told me he was going to call me back?

There is no wrong or right but why did you call him back when he said he would? You know when people say they'll call you back in a minute it's a figure of speech right? it could be a minute or an hour depends what they have to deal with.

 

So I think your boyfriend got a little annoyed you called him when he had specifically told you he would.

 

Do you do that a lot with him? The fact he hung up and didn't call back kind of tells me you may be a little too needy.

Yes he probably is. If I said to somebody I'll call you back, whether it was a few minutes or an hour or two, I wouldn't expect to be called back after a minute. What if he had to run to the bathroom, then had to run back with his pants around his ankles to answer your call? Just one of many scenarios, but really, if somebody says that to you, you should give them the space to do what they're needing to do and respect that they will call you back when they are ready to call you back.
