Geowill Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hi! I'd really appreciate some perspective on my situation with a woman I met via Tinder. We matched on tinder and met for a drink - she turned out to be a friend of a friend and when we met up the first time it was not a date like scenario because there were a few of our mutual friends there as well. A few weeks after that we meet at a party where she came on to me very strongly- we ended up leaving the party together, getting drunk and sleeping together that night. After that night we texted back and forth a bit and arranged to meet up again but due to some confusion we never actually met each other (I think she got wasted - I couldn't really understand her texts and ended up leaving). After that i waited a few weeks then asked her if she wanted to get coffee. She responded very enthusiastically but said she was working a lot and would get back to me when she was free. After that we have had no contact for 6 months - I assumed I had missed my chance with her and moved on. Note we are still Facebook friends and she 'likes' literally everything I post. Anyway last night she sent me a Facebook invite to her b'day party - no she did not invite everyone on her friend list only select people. Anyway I'm just confused about this situation - I have not much experience with dating and hookups. Does this mean she is still interested in me? What do you make of this situation? Bear in mind last time we saw each other was when we hooked up together. Ps I know this question might seem silly but I am very inexperienced with this Thanks!!
phineas Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I wouldn't go to the party. She's an acquaintance. She probably invited a bunch of other guys there also & maybe even her current guy for all you know. I think it would be a waste of time until you know what she wants with you. Tell her you want to meet before the party to catch up & see what she says or how she is if she agrees. If she really was interested she wouldn't of waited 6 months to contact you. She also may of had a BF at the time or started seeing someone same time as you & it ended so she is hitting up her 2nd choice.
truth_seeker Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 She meets guys off of Tinder, becomes friends with them on Facebook, gets drunk... why would you care about this woman? She's seems unstable and a flake. She's only fun material. Nothing to take seriously.
Versacehottie Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 not a silly question. very confusing situation. I usually feel like I have THE answer (as a neutral party). In this case, I don't. I think you are going to have to go with your gut WITHOUT knowing what she wants. I guess it really boils down to: WHAT DO YOU WANT? If you would like to date her/see her again, then go or respond that you can't make it but start talking to her again and go straight for asking her out within a few texts or a phone call. (Actually I like that option best because you will have all the party variables out of the way and it kinda gets right to the heart of the matter--does she want to date you or not?). If you don't want to date her or think it's more trouble than you care to deal with, then just ignore or because you mutually have friends, cordially let her know that you can't make it and thanks for the invite. Maybe you need to see more effort from her than one party invite and you will get it afterward (after saying can't make it) that will make you more confident to give her another chance. I generally like to take a leap of faith. Life is too short. I wouldn't stress over her motives just decide depending on your motives. Good luck
