nadzz Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Hey all I had a first date with a guy last night and it went pretty well. However, he asked me out again tonight and I think it's too soon. I don't want to rush things but I also don't want him to think I'm not interested: What do I say?
SwordofFlame Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Say you're busy tonight and offer an alternate date. The second part is key. 3

"I'd love to, but I already have plans. How about we plan something for next Friday?" "That would be awesome, but I'm a busy person, so I need a few days advanced notice. How about ____?"
Redhead14 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Hey all I had a first date with a guy last night and it went pretty well. However, he asked me out again tonight and I think it's too soon. I don't want to rush things but I also don't want him to think I'm not interested: What do I say? Offer another day and time. Or, it's Friday. If you're available go ahead and go out with him. Friday is one of the prime time days for a guy, he's offering it to you. If he wants to see you again really soon again, push it out a little by offering a different day, that's all.
d0nnivain Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Because you are in some sense playing games offering an alternative is very important or he will take it as flat out rejection. He's already upping the ante to a Friday night date so I think he's interested but it does send the wrong message for him to think you would be available for a last minute Friday date. 1
