Guitaristangel Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I have been wondering now to this very day. As a dumpee, I feel like I'm able to move on but never thought of dumper's remorse stages. I want to know the STAGES of the dumper and how they actually feel during each stage. I think that it all depends on each situation but most importantly, there is such a wonder to it that it makes me question No contact altogether. While doing "Active No Contact", makes me think that you do ANYTHING you can to IMPROVE yourself and seem like a totally different person when you come across your ex. Does Dumper remorse(or regret) start when they actually invite you back into their life? What are these stages? As I really want to know, my past few posts have gotten a few good point of views but I have not been on dates but working excruciatingly hard to improve myself. As I heard from her on December 5th, she claimed to work at a better job, plans to travel more and is more outgoing according to my best friend who still talks to her. Well, he let some stuff slip. She STILL lives from paycheck to paycheck, doesn't have much of a "life", works 5 or 6 days a week, and is moving in and out of places with people she hates. She still talks to my family and is still in close contact with my best friend. There are a whole lot of other things but as of today, I feel calm in a long time. Hope I don't jinx myself *knock on wood*. However, I want to have a clear explanation of what these stages are because it clearly shows that my ex is showing some sort of regret. Detailed explanations please and thank you :-)
xpaperxcutx Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 It means she's living her life. Just because she dumped you doesn't mean her life is a bed of roses. Unless she jumped into another relationship right away, and she's going through the high of a "new" relationship. Dumper's remorse only happens if they come back begging for another chance. That will only happen when you least expect it- usually around the time you finally moved on and you are not even concerned with where they are in life. When you're in a new relationship, exes always come sniffing around. 2
