basil67 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 So, we're talking staying away from home for the night? We both love the beach and body surfing. So I'd like accommodation which has a beach view. We'd go swimming in the afternoon and catch many waves. We'd then go to a pub for a quiet beer. Back to the rooms for another beer while having a shower and washing off all the salt water. Then sex. Then get dressed nicely and go to a restaurant. Bottle of wine. Cocktails. Bed and sleep. I love a cooked breakfast, so the next morning would be at a restaurant which serves good breakfast. If beach couldn't be arranged, an apartment in the city with views of the city lights, a lovely place in the mountains or on-snow accommodation would work equally well. Substitute the surfing for sightseeing or skiing accordingly. 1

To be honest, this is revisiting our lives before we had kids. Except for the apartment with the beach view. I want to go back to that because we had so much fun. Carribean cruise would be awesome. One day I will get to see the US and will add this to my wish list. At the moment, I'll have to stick to my home town of Sydney, Australia.

Give me a fire and a glass of red and I'm there! Actually my dream does cost a lot. Beach views cost a fortune here and I'm sooo practical. I just can't justify the cost. We'd probably do the dream, but without the views. But if we got a nice little windfall......

This could work. I live 4km from Sydney's CBD and tourist attractions. Quick bus ride and you're on Sydney Harbour.
