Men have ZERO INTEREST in (making any effort at all about) being mere "friends" with women they wouldn't rather be banging. That excludes coworkers, neighbors, family connections and other people that men are going to pass in daily life. When they tell you they are seeking "friends"... it is a ploy to perhaps get in the back door (certainly figuratively, and perhaps literally)
