Hello all! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread!

I'm celebrating my boyfriend's birthday this coming december, it's our 5th time celebrating his birthday together and I'm thinking about what to get for him as a present! I'm running out of ideas  We don't live together, and he just bought a PS4 2 weeks back, and he loves gaming!

I've booked a short trip to Batam to celebrate his birthday in 3 weeks time, but I'm also thinking about giving him something as a gift, but I don't know what to get for him!

He was hinting me about how he wants to play a game with me, so...should I buy him a controller? So that we can play together?

I'm open to more suggestions! ;)

Either a second controller or a game he's been hinting at would be good, I think.

as a gamer boyfriend myself, one of the things I most wanted to do was play games with my girlfriend(or exes now i guess). I lived with my ex for a while and I'd always feel a bit guilty playing games for an extended period of time, so I always wished she'd be involved with my gaming habits somehow.

I would've been happy with her playing games with me more than a new game, by a mile.

If he doesnt have one already get him a quality headset with mic for online gaming.

Gamer sweaters or fandom shirts have always been a go-to for me

Yep, buy an extra controller (if he doesn't already have 2) and look for a game that you'd enjoy playing with him. If you're new to gaming I'd recommend games that you can play cooperatively instead of against each other. I'm not very familiar with the console gaming scene though so not sure which PS games are good, I'm sure a quick search will bring up several popular ones. :)

What does he play games on besides the PS4? I play several cooperative games with my girlfriend on the PC and Xbox One, so I can provide recommendations there.

Does this mean you've been together 5 years, or just celebrating the 1st birthday 5 times?

Why feel the need to give gifts. Can't you just tell someone you love them, take them out for dinner, then fk his brains out?

But if you must I suggest:

Excellent: Bring a cute girl home wrapped in nothing but a red ribbon+bow for a 3 some.

Decent: Bring yourself wrapped in a red ribbon+bow.

Hahaha, thanks all for the suggestion! Really appreciate it!

He has downloaded some games for the both us to play, like just dance, and little big planet, I did mentioned before that I liked those games. And I'm super thankful for that, but I also want to get some games that he likes to play as well!

He just bought this game called Phantom Pain, and I know he likes those shooting games (I'm not sure what is it really called) - those like, where you get to shoot zombies, humans etc those kind, and Final Fantasy. I remembered him mentioning about Final Fantasy 7 Remix, but I don't think it's released yet :lmao:

Hahaha, I'm already planning for the "Decent" one already, that's why we're having a short trip! But just wanna get him something nice and practical that he can use as well, because gaming is a form of like destress for him. And I thought it would be nice to get something he likes?
