loveflower Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Out of anger and for revenge after I left my ex I made a few bad decisions so it's not just the STD's from my husband that I need to worry about. um...interesting
AspenBaldwin Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Don't say anything unless you can back it up with evidence.
Lois_Griffin Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Out of anger and for revenge after I left my ex I made a few bad decisions so it's not just the STD's from my husband that I need to worry about. I'm not very proud of it because I believe I am better than that. I hope it was someone your pig husband knows well. I ain't pointing any fingers at you. I don't think you have to worry about the legality of the tapes if you're a part owner of that building. You have the right to tape anything that goes on in there, just as a company has the right to monitor what people do on company computers or have video surveillance of their facility. Same thing. Sounds like a good ole' boy's club down there. Blast them to hell. 1
lgspot Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Thank You for all the replies. They have confirmed what deep down I knew I wanted to do, to tell. I noted that whilst I should tell, I should tell with evidence to avoid a case of he said / she said. That makes perfect sense but it also opens the whole issue that many have touched on in that the legality of the recordings may be an issue. What should have been an easy decision now becomes something I need to seek legal advice over! Wow. One of my friends in questioning her relationship now that I have ended mine. I told her I got an anonymous note in the mail and that I just confronted him and he admitted it. That is actually close to the truth except that the anonymous letter is the footage. I hope she does the same with the same results. I had already decided that I was going to tell after that until I read all the concerns over legality. I will be telling anyway I have decided but I just might not be able to show the footage. Some very non-professional legal advice I did get is that because I am a part owner of the factory that I can just claim that I put the cameras in for security. Of course I will seek more professional advice. Thanks to all the people that said I needed to get tested for STD's, I am already on to that. Out of anger and for revenge after I left my ex I made a few bad decisions so it's not just the STD's from my husband that I need to worry about. I'm not very proud of it because I believe I am better than that. Been my experience that now since your friend is questioning, word will spread like wildfire. The information door has been opened.... You told without telling. Sit back and observe. More of the story will be forthcoming. 1
lana-banana Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) I don't think you have to worry about the legality of the tapes if you're a part owner of that building. Oh wow, this is so wrong I barely know where to begin. Unless there were signs advertising individuals on the premises had no expectation of privacy and camera were in use, there is still the issue of parties being taped without their consent. Again, depending on where she lives, this may be a felony. A good lawyer would have no problem ensuring OP served a prison sentence. This is not a casual matter. The OP has knowledge that could destroy quite a few lives. People who stand lose everything are usually not willing to let things go quietly. As it stands, unless OP was posting from a public computer or using an anonymizer service (doubtful because LoveShack seems to filter/ban proxy posting) there is solid evidence tying someone from her home confessing to this very likely crime, not to mention the existence of the monitors themselves, which are simple enough to trace. As long as this thread is visible she could be railroaded in court before the judge has time for a second cup of coffee. I am not a lawyer, but I am familiar with the criminal and investigative sides of this, and the LAST thing OP needs is an ignorant person telling her it's no big deal. OP needs to see a lawyer immediately, because several men facing the loss of their wives, reputations, and potentially primary custody are not going to hold back in court. Author AliMc Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 I hope it was someone your pig husband knows well. No nothing like that. Drowning my sorrows at a bar, had a few too many, a couple of handsome young men... you do the math. Now I live with the regrets. I don't think you have to worry about the legality of the tapes if you're a part owner of that building. You have the right to tape anything that goes on in there, just as a company has the right to monitor what people do on company computers or have video surveillance of their facility. Same thing. I will get conformation of that before I proceed. With any luck things will happen without me having to do anything. An anonymous letter into my friends letterbox mentioning the garage as a focal point should be enough. I just have to get the cameras removed first because no doubt after another one of them goes down they will start putting the pieces together and search the garage. 1
Author AliMc Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 I didn't bother with legal advice. I have removed all the cameras. They are all away at a car show so the garage was free. We had a girls night in while the guys were away. It seems there are actually two questioning their partners fidelity not one. I don't think I need to do anything drastic for them to get their own answers. I told them I found out through an anonymous letter and that it mentioned the garage. I told them I never checked the garage because he admitted it all when I confronted him. They are talking of surprise drop-in visits to the garage and even maybe putting cameras in, lol. I still have all the footage but I'm hoping I will never have to use it. I would love for these guys to never know how they got caught or who ratted on them. I feel really good right now. I am free, my friends are close to finding out and then we can all move on together. My only concern is my friend who has always said she wouldn't want to know. She is shocked by how we are all speaking about our "lovely partners" and reiterated that she trusts hers and so should we. I'm not sure how she will cope when it all spills out because there will be no way to ignore it. We will all be there for her but she will struggle more than most I think.
BetrayedH Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Thanks for the update. Considering how rare this kind of thing is, I'm curious to see how it all pans out. Typically, I'm in favor of people being straight-up told the truth by those in the know. My gut says you'll eventually have to spill the truth to one or more of these wives. But it'd be interesting to know if you manage to successfully circumvent that and everyone ends up with the knowledge they need anyway. Please return with updates from time to time. And please don't let these women get fooled.
