Yazzhay Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 So I've been seeing this girl casually, and for our fifth date she stood me up. The way it happened was really embarrassing and I feel quite hurt by it. She said I should meet her in front of hers at 1 and I did. She never called or texted and I waited under the rain for 20 minutes. It was probably the most embarrassing experience. She never explained what happened as well and it's been a couple of days and she's been online. I just don't understand why such a thing would happen. I planned this date for coffee just to let her know that I enjoy getting to know her and that I'd like to make sure we're going at a pace she's comfortable with.
LilaMarie Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I'm sorry. I hear it happens to guys quite often. I always show up. That is part of dating unfortunately.
clia Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 You knocked on her door and she didn't answer?
ExpatInItaly Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 This is very strange. Did you call or text to let her know you were there? Knock on her door, ring the bell, whatever?
Cherryz Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 maybe she ddnt know how to tell you shes not interested anymore. you can just send her one text to let her know how you feel about it and block delete her and move on. 1
mortensorchid Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Sorry that happened. I guess it's best it did now rather than later on. Move on.
Author Yazzhay Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Yes, I did give her a text that I was there and tried calling. I'm just gonna move on, I just don't understand why someone would do that. 2
xcupid Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Yes, I did give her a text that I was there and tried calling. I'm just gonna move on, I just don't understand why someone would do that. Some people really aren't worth your time. Next!
Author Yazzhay Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Latest news is she texts me five days after the fact with "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't reply to your last text, I was passed out and went to A&E when I woke up, felt really bad about not texting you these past few days, but I thought I should let you know x" What the hell?

Don't buy this bs, and I hope to god you didn't reply. 1
Author Yazzhay Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Basically just told her she crossed the line but that regardless I wish her the best. Why would she even bother texting me that, though, so long after the fact? I never tried contacting her so why would she do that out of the blue?!
smackie9 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 maybe she is used to guys caving in, and letting her get away with such crap....you know the ones that give them the benefit of a doubt, over and over.....
Author Yazzhay Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Oh well, thankfully I didn't fall for it. I'm used to straight forward dating. This is the first time something like this has happened, so that's why I'm just stunned. To have the audacity to do that and then lie about it is beyond me quite frankly. 1
xcupid Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Basically just told her she crossed the line but that regardless I wish her the best. Good for you. Shows you've got a lot of class. Carry on.
