And finally i decided it was over. He apologised about 4-5 times and said he knows he wasnt a good guy and wanted a clean slate. He told me he valued me and didn't want to lose me. Now how do i trust these words. Do guys generally say these things?

d0nnivain Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 You know him. We don't. Some people are genuine. Others are not. There are no generalizations about this stuff. If he has feelings for you beyond friendship it's not healthy for him to settle for less than a romance with you but that is partly his choice. If he just wanted to have sex with you because he was horny & you were there, your friendship may be able to overcome that assuming he doesn't keep pressuring you. It depends on what you want. If it's friendship & you trust him not to step out of line again, fine, go back as you were but be very clear about your boundaries. Keep the physical stuff to a minimum. If you now think he's some kind of cad, just stay away. 1
