I was at the shopping centre today having lunch with my mother.

I went off to order my meal and while waiting in line, looked behind to see if I could find an empty table. As I was scoping out the available tables. I saw a girl that I use to be really close with before I ended up dating my now ex. She looked twice at me so I think she recognised me (we haven't seen or spoken to each other in about 3 years)

We drifted mainly because I was trying to please my jealous partner.

So a little back story on this girl (Monique) and myself.

We met at school, we would talk and text all the time about anything and everything. We got along with each others parents. She was a real catch, she had great values, was an amazing person and absolutely gorgeous.

And than along came the ex. Fast forward to today at the shops.

As soon as I saw her I felt an instant feeling of regret. She now has a partner which complicates the situation. I was thinking of sending her a message but figured that its not worth it. How can I get over this feeling?

Any advice appreciated guys and girls.

You picked your jealous partner over dating her the first time around. Best let her be.

You said she was a real catch. Do you regret not going out with her or not being her friend?

If you regret not dating her, then your ex-gf was jealous for a valid reason.

If you regret not staying platonic friends, why would it matter that she now has a partner?
