What does it mean when I guy texts and emails you regularly, but then will stop for a few days maybe once a month and then start texting you again like nothing happened? We have been texting and emailing for about 4 months now. We live about 3 hours away from each other, so we don t see each other much. When we do see each other, it is just for the day. How do I know if he likes me as a friend or more? Will this ever turn into something more than talking?

Communication is the key to ANY relationship. Why do you think it will work if you clearly don't feel comfortable communicating with him? If he wanted something more, he would have clearly made it known. I hate to tell you girl, but you know already....he's just not into you.

If he likes you, he would have asked you on a date by now. Unless he's a shy socially awkward guy, in which case you may need to ask him out.

If you mean if he is a friend? Yes. If he is going to be your bf? No. A man who is interested is going to make more of an effort to see you face to face rather than just this. If you just want him as a friend, that's fine, but it's not going to go any further than this.

 

A few years ago, I went out on an internet date with a guy like this. We met face to face, then during the course of the talking he said something like he didn't know where this would or would not go, some people are just texting buddies. I sent him two text messages afterward which he replied to. I immediately knew this wasn't going to go anywhere: It was all one sided on my part. A man who is interested will make more of an effort than just having the other party contact him when they feel like it. Sad but true.

If he's REALLY into you, he would be seeing you a lot more in person. You're just one of his options. When he's in the mood to talk to you, he talks to you. When he's in the mood to visit you, he visits you. When he's not talking to you or visiting you, he's talking to or seeing other women.

Why don't you just ask him if he likes you and if he wants to take you on a date? That seems to be the only way to get a definitive answer. Or you could just continue not knowing if he does or doesn't.
