Gloria25 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Maybe I'm wasting my time with starting this thread, but why do people - especially guys - do certain things and become "surprised" and want to label you "crazy". Like we had a thread recently where the woman snooped on her guy's phone cuz he was acting suspicious...AND, she found proof he was cheating. Instead of him fess up, try to make up, NOOOO he turns it on her. He calls her a spy, crazy, and what she did was soooo unfreakin' unreasonable and unforgettable!!! So why, why do certain things and then act all surprised when it produces a certain result?
TaraMaiden2 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Because it's a guilt/defensive reflex, of course. It deflects the responsibility onto the innocent party and distracts from the real agenda. Next question...?

This is a cheater thing. 1
TaraMaiden2 Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Exactly. They try to equate snooping (your 'crime') with their cheating. As if what you did is just as bad. It absolves them from having to carry the can. At least, if they can accuse you of snooping, your behaviour is low, too.... And sambolini is right. It's not an exclusively 'male' thing.
Dylon Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 At first glance, it seems obvious, right? Defense, prevent problems, hurt, protection, ect. If it was a lie, why not a lie to cover a lie? Well, would it be better if the guy confesses all his thoughts, like when he looks at girls, thought of them in an inappropriate ways, ect. Some guys and women do this and admit to everything in their mind. Honey, you think that girl is hot and you want to have sex with her? Sure babe, of course. Or you are crazy my love, no way.
