I haven't gotten with anyone else since my first ex broke up with me but I think you just have to come to terms with the fact that everyone is a different human being and things are going to be different. It also helps if you've actually moved on and feel complete indifference when it comes to your ex.

I normally worked on finding more things we had in common and fostering those kind of mutual connections that were seperate to the ones developed with the ex's. Moving on completely is also important, and making sure you don't look back with rose coloured glasses.

Yes, I am flying out of SA Monday evening, it is my first time traveling alone to another country but because of the break up, im just not that excited. In Dbn right now with the family. Thank yoy for the reply, I hope to move on peacefully in the future with someone else without missing my ex. I used to give other guys a hard time in the past because they just could not match up with my ex.
