To make long story short, he ended things due to not wanting to get serious. We have remained civil as we work together and I just happened to fall for a CP (it is what it is). Anyway, when he ended things he made it clear he still wants to be friends and for me to stay in his life. However, since then he just acts strangely towards me, even after almost 4 months later! A few weeks after the breakup he even wanted me to see his new apartment but then never followed up with it (I still have yet to be invited over). He's hot and cold with me. One week he will walk by my desk just to see me and say hi and offer me coffee, then the next week he wont look at me. He will also randomly text me to talk if we haven't talked in awhile but keeps the convo VERY short and sweet. He does not express his emotions whatsoever. Because of this, I just want some opinions as to what is going through his head? I cant tell if he still has feelings and is just unsure of how to act around me or what. It has been driving me crazy. I myself still have feelings and would love to be together again but all this hot and cold behavior from him always makes me wonder. Help!
BC1980 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I don't know exactly what is going on in his head. I doubt any of his actions mean he wants a second chance. Generally, it's going to be awkward around an ex. Since you work together, you are both forced to redefine your relationship. It's a very awkward prospect, and I'm not surprised he has been acting weird.

If it really bothers you, I would ask him what his intentions are. I know that might make it a little more weird since you both work together. But, its something thats going to happen over and over again, until you figure out why he's doing that. Communication is key. Don't drive yourself nuts trying to figure him out. Something has to change up, otherwise its going to be a consistent cycle.
