ricky_Mumbai Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 So my wife's sister and I have always been good friends. She is divorced now. Off late I have begun liking her to the point of discussing matters beyond the line. For example:- I like when you highlight your hair. Can I touch your cheeks etc.. I am honestly not sure if I am beginning to get attracted towards her for the wrong reasons. However she discusses these issues with me quite freely and I think she has no intent crossing the line? I am sure people on this forum must have gone through these situations/feelings. If so, please enlighten me with how they dealt with it. Thanks Ricky
Chi townD Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Dude, really?!?! THAT IS YOUR WIFE'S SISTER!!! You better get a handle on this before she tells your wife (her sister) what you've been doing and that she feels uncomfortable being around you. It's not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when" if you don't stop now! 4
sandylee1 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 My brother in laws will complement my outfits or hairdos, but NOTHING like asking to touch any part of my body. That's where you are crossing the line. Just stop and don't do it. There are certain people you just don't go there with and the sister in law would be one of those. 2
RecentChange Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 It's your wife's sister.... You shouldn't be getting so cozy with her. Not cool. Treat family members like FAMILY. 1
Samhain Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 If you have to ask whether it's crossing the line, then I think you already know the answer. You can start by only being around her if it's absolutely necessary ie family events, dinners etc or any time your wife is there too. Speak to her out of politeness because it's your wifes sister, not to glare longingly into her eyes. And stop asking to touch her cheeks, it's weird. 1
qubist Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 you are at the edge of a slippery slope waiting for the next slight push 1
smackie9 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Oh hell no, there is no way I would do such a thing! Dude you are over stepping your boundaries....it's damn well not appropriate. So wrong in so many ways.
Snotty Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 You ask if anyone has done this.. Yes I have. It was great. I had fun. It still lingers in my memories.... Then everyone found out. YOU will be the bad person, not her. YOU will be the one who will always be looked at like trash. So, if you want the excitement and thrill, bang her senseless. Just realize you will have a permanent invisible tattoo across your forehead that a certain circle of people will always see. It will never go away. I don't care what you say... But she.... But we.... Its not worth it.

d0nnivain Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Giving someone a compliment is fine. Asking to touch them . . .Problem. Stop doing that. If you want to save your marriage only speak to your SIL in front of your wife. Do not say anything you wouldn't want your wife, your kids and your own grandparents to hear

Tear your family apart and the rest of her family apart in the process. You want to have a secret fantasy to yourself, fine, have it. But don't be crazy.
