This girl I was talking to caught me by surprise big time when I heard her laugh. It was just the most off-putting, unattractive, and just the strangest laugh I've ever heard. I didn't get used to it, it still caught me by surprise every time. It was a bit different every time too but always so strange. Kinda feel like I'm being too particular but laughter is a big thing for me. I've been with one girl specifically who's laugh I loved so much. I'm very confident and very good at getting women to laugh so it's something that happens quite often when I'm with a women. Any one else come across this? Were you turned off by it and stopped seeing her/him because of that?

I've never dated anyone who's had a terrible laugh but I can definitely see how it might happen.

We were at a comedy show in the Summer and the girl sat right behind us had the most ridiculous laugh, it was like... the closest thing I can describe it as being like, is Peter Griffin from Family Guy. But a woman. It was crazy, never heard anyone laugh like that before. Really loud too.

The funny thing was that whenever she laughed, we all laughed, partly at the show but also at her laugh... the whole crowd laughing obviously made her laugh even more too because it was just such a funny atmosphere. It got to the point where the whole room was in hysterics, I was almost sliding off my chair clutching my stomach giving myself an asthma attack the whole situation was so funny. It was a novice comedy show with non-professional comedians at a festival, they had had a run of totally empty nights so to find themselves randomly in front of a packed room (another show had been cancelled so most of us filtered in there, and I'm so grateful as it was brilliant!) all laughing so much they were crying for mercy was awesome, just seeing their faces lol.

But yeah. If I had to listen to that laugh every day, I would be seriously turned off. It was embarrassing, even though I know she couldn't help it, I doubt she even clicked that it was as um... noteworthy as it was. Obviously nobody said anything about it because that'd have been really mean, but I wonder if she realised that she was even funnier than the act!

A friend of my girlfriend has a cackling high pitched laugh, it's annoying as hell. She doesn't have a boyfriend currently and I think to myself I wonder what it would be like to have to listen to that laugh all the time.

Ok glad it isn't just me. This girls laugh is probably the weirdest one I've ever heard. Not probably it actually is. Not even weird in a good way. Like weird like it's off putting and if we were in public id be embarrassed. I like a good laugh. Sounds nuts but there was one girl I was with a few years ago who's laugh I loved so much so it's like set the bar.

Lol true about not having to worry about a guy stealing her. But i doubt I could put up with it. It still caught me off guard every single time. Don't think I was ever going to get used to it. She's 23 and only had one boyfriend ever and was a terrible relationship. Controlling, he wouldn't let her go out with her friends cause he was needy, insecure, low self esteem, and she out up with it. She even got back together with him TWO DAMN TIMES after cheating, and finally after the 3rd time cheating they split up for good. I think she'll have a tough time getting in a relationship, she has no self confidence her self confidence herself as well. That was a huge red flag for me anyways that she stayed in a relationship like that
