It's a kind of hidden control. Like a guy saying I hate red lipstick......that means..don't wear red lipstick. Just see how good he is in all other areas. Watch out for other dislikes as well. 1

I would prefer to date a guy who's focus on who I am not whether or not I wear blue coloured jeans. In fact I would find it too odd and a red flag.

This here is key. This is a type of guy who communicates in a positive way. A guy that communicates to you indirectly in a negative way ***I hate blue coloured jeans to make you not wear them, says a lot about his personality.
