He's always touching it and stuff- like if we're in the store and no one is looking, he will "brush" up against it with his hand- but I know he's doing it on purpose!

Not to sound shallow, but next time, I'm going for a "good looking" geek, cos the guys I date dont tend to be very good looking either. I tend to go for personality/caring, which I believed my exh had for me but now I realize it was an illusion. So i might as well go for a better looking guy in case he ditches me too

The only thing they've really had in common was that they weren't pretty boys, they were intelligent, and most of them could fix a car or other mechanical equipment if needed. Other than that, their personalities and backgrounds have been very different. Well, with one exception. There was one pretty boy I had to instruct how to use jumper cables that I went out with a few times.

After grad school (after the end of a 4-year live-together relationship) I attracted psychotic women with nice bodies who taught me a lot about sex but made me hate women for a while. For two years after that, I attracted no one. My girlfriend now is extremely good-looking and I respect her. She doesn't trust me and shows occasional signs of getting over it, but mostly she digs the status quo. Other girls who seem to be attracted to me lately seem smart and have good style. The coffee shop girl was REALLY flirting with me today. Not sure why. She can't seem to remember my name. I tried to stay on topic.

The Leather jackets wearing, AC/DC listening, drugs, drinking, waiting to be a biker's girlfriend type. They were a lot of fun, but I rarely dated them. For the last 6 years the type I seem to attract is: None

The REALLY nice guys I attract are too nice, in other words, they let people walk all over them. This includes me unfortunately. I need a guy who will stand up to me and tell me when I'm wrong or tell me when I've screwed up. I always inadvertently end up "eating these guys alive" so to speak. Then there's the other end of the spectrum. Th eother guys I attract are complete jerks. They either have: a huge ego, a drug problem, a drinking problem, anger issues, problems staying faithful or all of the above. It's usually all of the above. Ugh. Go figure. I just want a happy medium, but the happy mediums don't seem to come may way. What's a girl to do
