Since so many do it begs to question. What is the issue? Or attraction.

The question is which kind of women do it? Probably highly unhinged. Next is what you mean about love. Probably more likey they just find them hot.

I fell for one but he lied to me. I looked him up online and he did some major fraud at a dealership. He denied it and of course claimed it was a 'misunderstanding'. Yeah, sure. I'm not attracted to criminals or bad boys.

Yeah I don't think this is actually a thing

It's hard to have a discussion based on generalities.

What do you mean by "criminals?" Do you mean "bad boys," men actively engaged in criminal activities (If yes than what kind? White collar crimes? General crime?), or imprisoned men? Furthermore, are the women aware of their criminal activity?

Generally speaking, my female cohort tend to try and avoid criminals, so I think again, some specifics would be useful to aid in compelling discussion.

Hmmm... and to which crowd are you hanging?

The element of danger. The upredictability of the criminal.

Its nothing to read into. Not all women are like that but some like thrill seeking and like danger only to end up loosing their lives with these criminals. Just read up the attraction of womena nd serial killers. It beggars belief.

Women, as in the entire collective of people with breasts don't fall for criminals. Some completely bat**** crazy individuals do, they do because they are bat**** crazy. End of story.

Its surprisingly simple. If a man can commit a crime, subconsciously a woman senses he can protect her, especially if he killed or robbed with weapons.

Protection is one of the main things women look for, whether they are aware of it or not.

Hmm, perhaps 'bad boys' are just more interesting.

It's probably not that women (at least not the vast majority, as I believe) would want an actual criminal,

but they/we like guys who are confident and interesting.

Personally, I like guys with a good heart, who are interesting, quirky, weird or thrill seeking (but no guys with low morals, let alone criminal tendencies).

BUT, what I experience over and over again is that a lot of good guys have either low or very low confidence, especially when it comes to women.

Then there are good guys who are too conservative or just flat out prudes (like getting a heart attack at a sight of a tattoo?!).

Both the insecurity and being too conservative is a huge turn-off for me and many women I know.

It's about taming the beast and it makes them feel special.

Perhaps additional traits that could be associated with 'bad boys' are being decisive, independent and able to take care of things themselves.

All these traits are attractive to most women.

But again, so many good guys are indecisive, clingy, etc. - it's a turn off.

I also think generally speaking, people who have been in prison are better bs artists, more manipulative etc. Skills they acquire to help them fit in. I can usually talk to a guy for 5 min and be able to tell if he has been in prison before.

A guy who is good at manipulating women can get them to do anything for them. Think of Charles manson

It's very easy to tell, i agree.

They give off a vibe, while at the same time alternating between acting too cocky and then having little self confidence.

Exactly.

In a way they are outgoing and arrogant, but ultimately the woman ends up taking care of these guys. Maybe arouses their inner "caretaker" need as well.

Like a bad boy who also makes it known he NEEDS that woman to get through life. And many women want to feel needed

I dated an excon, fresh out. I tend to attract these types rather easily. Ive accepted that in life that i will attract older men, excons, and sometimes younger men.

Excons tend to be more outgoing and spontaneous. He was just too fresh out then, and they tend to go to prison several times. NOW 5 or 6 years later hes much better off and married.

Simple...

For the same reason women fall for them.....Testosterone....

He's not a criminal when he's romancing her. He's an attractive, seductive, lover. It's really not more complicated than that.

We tend to think of male criminals as gritty, uncouth, and the underbelly of society. In reality, nope, mixed bag.

Here's one who was married for 22 years, until he died, had a bunch of kids and twelve grandchildren and a formerly sitting POTUS attended his funeral. Great example of the other kind of criminal women fall for. Why? Because they're attractive. Their criminality is a sideshow. It works.

Is this really a thing? Maybe in poor black communities I've heard women can be attracted to thugs but where I grew up I've never heard a women say she is attracted to lowlife scumbags.

That's the point. They're not low-life scumbags to the women who fall in love with them. Why? Love is an emotion. Linear thinking does not apply.

Until he abuses his wife. These ex cons almost always go back to it even with a family and kids.

As if everyone were in prison for domestic violence. You do know that many excons were incarcerated for nonviolent crimes? Now excons do tend to get incarcerated several times. They come out of lrison penniless then go back to selling dope again and again. Guy in question went to prison for a dope related fight.

Out of all the guys i dated, even a semi pro football player, the only one to get remotely violent with me was the computer geek.

Lets be real, many guys want excons to be permanently removed from the dating pool. Some come out and actually do well for themselves, like Kali Muscle. Do you really think girls will pass up entrepreneur/millionaire/athlete/movie star dudes bc these guys went to prison 10, 20 years ago?
