westernxer Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 It may help, it may not, but it depends on which movies you're thinking of. So, which movies are you thinking of? (Hopefully not some tragic love story.)
Author dazed343 Posted May 24, 2005 Author Posted May 24, 2005 Before sunrise, Before sunset (Expecially this one because basically it's What if you had a second chance with the one that got away? and then first love last rights.
westernxer Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 I've seen the first one... very intellectual approach to love. Richard Linklater is known for incorporating deep discussions in most of his films, especially since he writes his own material. However, as the film progresses, you get this sense of urgency, since time is limited between the love-struck protagonists. Soon you begin agonizing right along with them. I haven't seen the second one yet, but I've heard good things about it. From what I understand, the two characters reunite 10 years later, and they're much more mature than they were during the first encounter. It's supposed to be an evolution of sorts... doesn't really interest me. You should rent "Swingers." That's a must-see for any guy.
Author dazed343 Posted May 24, 2005 Author Posted May 24, 2005 I've seen swingers some time ago, can't remember too much about it but maybe I'll watch that one again.
westernxer Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 I'm sure you'll have a different perspective when you watch it this time.
