As the title says, I have a second date with a girl this Friday, our first one was last week (got some drinks and talked) and it went very well. I talked to her on over the weekend and we set up a second one for this Friday. My question is, what are some good ideas for a second date? Some thoughts I had were dinner and a sporting event, but all the hometown teams are away or not playing that night (she is big into sports). Then, I thought going on a brewery tour and doing dinner as a possibility (still an option). Or, getting together for dinner and drinks and then just see where the night goes from there. Thoughts? Other ideas?

Thanks

Wine and painting; indoor rock wall climbing; cooking class (all groupon ideas); outdoor ice skating; indoor put put golf... those off the top of my head.

You don't have to go crazy planning the activity this early. The focus of the early dates should be getting to know each other but not spending too much doing so.

So if we did something like going for a walk or hike and dinner or even just dinner would suffice?

Thanks

Second day hike would be awesome to me. Pack a lunch or eat somewhere local after.

Also, dinner too! If it was me I wouldn't care what we were doing the spending time together would be the best part.

That's what I was thinking, too, plus she really enjoys hiking, etc... The only drawback is that the date is a little later and it gets dark here pretty early now. So, I'm not sure if that is the best option or not. The other ideas I had were mini-golfing (she likes playing sports) and dinner, or going for fondu since it is something a little different than just a meal.

all good ideas! Don't over think it just think about spending time with her. Anything thoughtful (you already mentioned) seems perfect.

Got the date all scheduled and good to go for tomorrow. I want to apologize for all the questions, but I am still new to the whole online dating thing. I did a confirmation text before the first date, something simple like, "Really looking forward to seeing you tomorrow." Would you still suggest one for the second as well? I am definitely excited to see her again and go on another date and from what I can tell she is feeling the same. Would it be good to send another?

Thanks

I confirm all meetings with all people -- colleagues, dates, repairmen coming to my house, my family etc. I can handle a cancellation in advance but get ticked if I go out of my way & the OP does show for anything less than a genuine emergency.

So for instance, saying something like "Really looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow night." Would be fine?
