Need reading the friendship I have with this girl. To deep in the friend zone?

Ok so this the weird situation and I have no idea how to read it. There is this this girl I know and we have know each other for lets say around a year. We talk ALOT on Facebook and have seen each other in person on many group outings and once alone when I invited her to "hang out" and tag along when I went shopping in the city once. (Her twin sister goes everywhere with her and she was there to that one time) No real dates tho

 

Today there was another group outing and she was there. it was a group of 7 people and the whole day me and her were very "playful"? (Not sure if that's the right word to use) But we were constantly mucking around with each other always fiddling around with each others belongings and similar shenanigans. I would actually call it childish behavior. Im 21 and shes 20.

 

I haven't dated anyone "properly" before (apart from a failed LDR) and I have no clue how to take all this. Is it flirting? just general being silly? Is she trying to suggest something? I really don't know.

 

Also since we are close friends if I ask to do anything with her (ie a date) Im 100% certain she will take it as "just hanging out", She will bring her twin sister along with her as she is very shy and it will just be an outing to chill out and nothing more than that. Should I just straight up ask her " do you want to go on a date with me"?

I really don't know what to do and Im very confused after today :/. If anyone understands what im going through or just has some general comments on my situation that would be great thanks
