Girlfriend has an ethnic identity but I don't

My girlfriend is Jewish and her ethnicity is a very important part of her life and identity.

 

anyways I'm Turkish american and have no ethnic identity and just see myself as human.

 

she wants me to convert to Judaism and when we children she wants to have them circumcised. I oppose this however because I see it as a form of mutilation.

 

also I'm opposed to religion because it holds back the progress of mankind.

 

how do I deal with this problem?

I agree with this. This is definitely a compatibility issue. You two have extremely different views on very important things. The odds are not in your favor as a couple, sorry

Sadly I agree with the others. There's plenty of guys out there who share her views, and plenty of women who share yours.

 

Say its best for both of you and explain that the cultural differences are too great.
