Tennisguy Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) So, I have a bit of a problem. I am trying to meet and speak to a girl that is a mutual friend of one of my other friends on Facebook. The friend on Facebook, I don't even know well, so to ask her to meet her wouldn't be that great of an idea. To top it all off, she lives in a different state, in a huge city. I messaged her on Facebook and talked a little bit with her, but the conversation didn't continue after quite a few messages and she didn't reply. She does seem to be quite busy during the week, so I think trying to talk to her over Facebook will be really difficult. How could I continue trying to talk to her, without seeming weird or creepy? Have any of you been in a situation like this? Should I send a friend request to her and if so when? I really want to meet this girl, and I just want to figure out how? I would be willing to meet her out of state, so that's not an issue. I really feel out of sorts though... any advice or insight will be greatly appreciated and thank you!!!!! d0nnivain Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Think long & hard about why you even think you want to start an LDR with somebody in another state who you don't even know. It sounds unproductive to me. Unless you are both on the border & reasonable driving distance, how is this going to work? I suppose your 1st step is send her a friend request. Then sit back & observe her posting habits. For all you know she has a BF.

She's definitely worth meeting up with in the future, and I wouldn't mind traveling long distance to do that! It just seems so hard to accomplish this task though... but I'm willing to try my best!!!

Maggie4 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 For this to happen for you, she needs to be sufficiently intrigued by you, and also be the type of person to want to do LDR. So far that has not happened. What can you do? Really, not everyone is a dreamer.
