ReluctantRomeo Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Girls are allowed to be grey/vague... it's their way. As a guy, I'd far prefer clear "yes" or "no" signals, of course. I definitely think it's stupid and rude to give a number when you don't want the guy to call. But it's ok to give a number in a vague way when you just want something friendly or when you're not sure - guys shouldn't invest too much significance in a simple phone number. And I once ended up with a girl who gave me her phone number thinking "friends only", then changed her mind when we met for lunch. How silly would she have looked if she had said "but don't use my number to date me"?

Sorry, it's not just me. But, once I do meet them they strike me as more mature and confident for their age vs. american women. This is why most european guys aren't that impressed with american girls. And as sweet as kooky is, she'll never understand what people are getting at here...even if you spell it out for her a million times. I mean, I just don't bother reading her replies anymore 'cause she obviously doesn't really read and try to understand anyone elses.
