What would you do?

Last Christmas I was really close with my guy friend and I thought it would be nice to get him a gift for Christmas. Although, he didn't get me anything. I felt a little sad because I would have appreciated the gesture as it shows that he cares. Just anything would have been nice. Now that we are a couple what should I do for Christmas this year? I'll be honest I feel like I shouldnt get him anything. I don't want to appear needy to him. But at the same time I feel like it would be rude tonot give anything. To me gifts show appreciation and that tells someone you care about them.

But at that time he was a just a guy friend? And isn't Christmas about GIVING - not receiving?

 

He may have cared, but present-buying isn't usually foremost for guys.
