I have a friend who is on one of the free OLD sites. He says that he was contacting women and getting no responses until he recently changed his strategy. He now contacts women with the opening line "You have great tits!" He claims that his response rate is now 85%, he gets appreciative, positive return comments, and he hasn't met anyone yet but several women have agreed to coffee dates.

My friend is 58 years old and contacts women in their 30's and 40's. He's decent-looking for his age, but still, he's contacting women 15 to 20 years younger.

This goes counter to everything I've always believed about online dating, but I'm in that group that tries to be polite and friendly and gets almost no responses. The thinking here is that despite what women might say about "creepy" guys online, they love it when they got some positive attention about their bodies and will respond positively in many cases.

What do you think? Is my friend full of it? Or is he on to something here?

Thats because many of those "women with great tits" are actually men in Haynes sitting shirtless on a stool with multiple computer screens in front of them with no lights on in the room lol

I don't think so. That kind of thing might happen on a site like Craigslist where many ads have no content, no pictures and are obvious scams. But this is on OKCupid, where in many cases a profile contains numerous pictures and detailed bios. Many of the profiles might not be active, but I don't think they're completely fake.

If the profiles aren't fake, the tits might be. At least you know the quality of the woman who replies to that type of opening, don't you?

I think your friend is jerking your chain. I don't know one woman who would respond to such drivel ...or some women might respond with a *uck off ...but not the ones I know ...they'd just delete.

I'd be curious what kinds of women your friend is targeting.

Also ...being 58 ...not many 30 something year olds are even going to be interested

I don't know if your friend is pulling your leg or not with the 85% response rate. But I will say this, I am no longer surprised at the things that women actually respond to or blow off. I does seem that women are responsive to guys that can tap into their ID more than we're lead to believe.

He's messing with your head. Those types of messages do not garner responses. Unless he's on a quick hookup site where the women ARE looking for nothing more than noncommitted quick sex.

I suspect he's doing what most guys do--contacting the top 20% attractive women on the site.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but here's more proof that women will respond to sexual come-ons. This guy (actually, a fake profile with a model head shot) said (as his opener): "I'd love to pull your panties off and lick you for hours. You're gorgeous." And he was rewarded with a bunch of phone numbers. (Granted, this is a little different because the "guy" is younger and extemely good-looking.)

I believe he states a younger age--but probably still in his early 50's.

My friend is hoping for a relationship, I believe, but he's more than happy to hook up with anyone he can so the only "quality" he cares about is that they're sexy and willing.

Women may respond but they're probably nuts in one way or another, socially awkward and maybe even mentally unstable lol I don't see a quality woman, someone looking for something serious and worth being with responding to that sort of message. I heard OkCupid and POF is made up of mostly crazies lol (but so is any other site) lol

That's what I'm wondering about. You often women hear *say* they don't like to receive creepy, suggestive messages, but maybe when someone strokes their ego they can't help themselves ... ?

Wait, let me get this straight. Your older friend, who is "hoping for a relationship," has a profile with a fake photo, and approaches women in a sexually aggressive manner and says he has great success. What happens when he goes to meet one of these women, who's expecting the male model to show up, and see that it's really an older gentleman who lied about who he was?

Yeah, good luck to him.

Interesting comments--but don't we have a bit of a double standard here? Let's say I told you I'm a quality person and I'm looking for something serious and worthwhile, but in the meantime I'm lonely and horny and a woman contacted me with a sexually suggestive comment, so we got together and had sex. You'd say "of course, you're just being a dude," right? So, why is it different for women?

I mean ... maybe ...? But I would question that kind of person, because there are women, no matter how nice their tits might be, who would never respond favorably to a message like that.

I'm wondering why you started this topic. Was it to see if we thought your friend was full of sh*t, or if you're thinking of trying the same thing?

No, my friend uses his real picture(s). It's the other example I posted that has the fake pic. He probably lies about his age by five years, which most people can get away with.

Oh I see.

Well, either way. If it works and he's getting what he wants out of it, then more power to him, I suppose.

Maybe a little of both. His claim is so out there, I've been wondering if others might have had a similar experience or at least some interesting thoughts on the subject. And frankly, I'd considered giving it a try just as an experiment, but I'm inclined to agree that women who would respond positively are probably a little "off" in some way. And, unlike my friend, I'm really not looking for meaningless sex.

I actually think that means the woman is psycho too. Most of my guy friends who have had women come on to them with suggestive sexual comments only to find out the woman is nuts lol that is why I wrote what I wrote. From hearing multiple experiences.

But in the end, hey people get horny and they want to have sex. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you're honest about it, I don't care what gender you are. Personally if a guy wrote to me "Nice tits" I wouldn't be turned on at all. I think there's a good chance that the women that are turned on by that are a little coo coo lol or don't look like their pictures at all and are probably thrilled someone gave them a snippet of attention.

I have a coworker like this. She would definitely respond to the "nice tits' comment. On her Online picture she looks like a beauty queen. In person she's 250 lbs and wears but thick glasses (nothing wrong with that just stating she looks diff from her pictures) and has pretty bad skin. She gets excited about any contact Online. She would eat that comment up. She's also nuts lol I think there are many similar women Online, especially the ones responding to that comment.

If it sounds appealing, then you could try it and see. That's the beauty of OLD, there are plenty of folks to reach out to. If you're not out for meaningless sex though, I don't know why you'd try that approach.

I've met a number of women online, and a small percentage of them have been super horny, found me attractive I guess, and wanted to get right to it with minimal fuss. One in particular, I found out later, was a local newscaster--she's all over Youtube. I was kind of shocked when I found out about that. I don't think she was "psycho," she was actually quite intelligent and articulate, but getting a little older and probably just lonely, very horny and sex-loving.

But, I have to say that in general, the majority of women I've met online (horny or not) have had issues.

Ya if the woman is looking for a hookup she might respond ...or as Karine stated ...one of the crazies. I am sure there are woman on those sites who need their ego stroked ...it might be their "love language" or they're a lonely married woman

I really can't account for a response otherwise. I certainly wouldn't believe an 85% response rate ... especially if the guy is listed as in his 50s and leading with a sexual innuendo. Ya not believable

Now if the guy were some hot looking model tyoe I'm sure he'd get responses ...not from me but I'm sure that lure works with some women

Hahaha.. This cracked me up. Especially because I've been Catfished so many times by "athletic and toned" women just like your co-worker. I honestly don't understand what someone gains out of posting pics so radically different than reality. I mean doesn't she consider what they'll think in person?

I think some of these are the woman who try as you may ...you never get them to meet up in person. They just toy with you and fade away. They enjoy the fantasy in their mind. When guys say ...we talked for a while and when I suggested meeting "poof" she was gone. I've often wondered ...

OP ...how about you send out 100 messages of this ilk and come back with a report? Inquiring minds want to know what the return on investment brings :)

Some guy messaged me with ...you're like a lollipop ...I wanna lick you

You could use various phrases and see which ones work best
