I get that some people aren't texters or glued to their phones, but I think in future, if you're interested in a guy try make the effort to at least respond if he initiates contact.

Imagine if you were interested in someone, you tried to strike up a convo with them and they were half-arsed about replying?

Either that, or find a guy who isn't that into texting or online communication either. Unfortunately, that does seem to be the preferred method of communicating these days, especially in the early stages.

Or you could just say "Hey, I don't really use Facebook much, but let's hang out for coffee sometime if you want to chat :-)" that way, a mutual interest is clear.

all of a sudden I get a message saying "hey so we will probably never talk or meet so if its okay im going to unadd you". I was so confused....I was just like....i mean lol okay go ahead if that is what you want but im just confused why did you add me after not meeting up for two months if that were a problem then he was just like ok then I will and unadded me.

The problem is you never showed him that you actually liked him/were interested in him. Why would he want to keep pursuing you if:

1. You reply about half the time

2. Your reason is that you saw his messages but then "forgot or something"

3. You answer the bolded above when he's basically asking for any reassurance that you still want to keep this going?

Your behaviour makes it seem like he was a nuisance to you. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, actually.

Update: He actually ended up readding me and apologizing today. He told me he was upset because his friends ditched him that day and was angsty no one cared, told me it had nothing to do with me he was just taking out his anger, and asked if we wanted to continue. He like ranted to me for half an hour and I gave him some friend advice and just let him vent and gave him some of my own anecdotes to made him feel better. He was pretty upset not at me but was just done with everyone. I told him I just wanted to be friends and that maybe we wouldn't work out dating wise. He accepted and he said he was okay with it. We started out as casual friends so I guess it worked out.

I think ill do that last thing from now on. Like if a guy from now on starts to message me multiple times a day, ill just be like "hey instead of texting lets meet up this week! Im not much of a texter but id like to talk to you in person". I couldn't really do that with him because he moved so far away but I also don't really think I should be dating long distance since I hate texting lol.
