Wait, why would a woman that has many ex's be good relationship material?

i'm 43 yrs old.

I don't want an inexperienced woman at this point in time nor do I want a woman who is freshly divorced out of a 20yr marriage.

Mine must be experienced, or have the desire to, experience pulling in a medium sized shark into a 13 foot boat.

If she can do that, she is a keeper. ;)

But... Someone who has had A very large number of previous boyfriends may well have something lacking on their end. Food for thought.

What's the difference between being exclusive and being in a relationship to you? What makes you want to date someone exclusively and then have a relationship with them?

Who is this pointed to?

If I really click with someone I stop talking to other girls.

With current GF we talked for a couple weeks, kissed on first date. Oral on second date and slept in the same bed. Third date we made it "official" and had sex, but that was a special situation because we knew from the very beginning we wanted a relationship together. There have been numerous other women who I dated or slept with where "exclusivity" was never even considered.

With my current GF, I didn't follow my usual dating patterns. No multi-dating, no taking my time, and I asked her to be my GF after a month. I was pretty much hooked after date three and she was as well. That's why it's ironic to be that it's been the most successful relationship I've had in a few years.

So this is a brand new woman that you finally moved on from that terrible relationship with? If so, I hope it works for you and that she doesn't wind up being a rebound.

Being exclusive is not that big of a deal IMO. It just means you aren't going to date others while you are in discovery mode. I've had guys ask in as little as 3 dates and some took at long as 3 months. It would be a red flag to me if a guy couldn't commit to stop dating others by 3 or 4 months in.

I remember at one time thinking it was a big deal but it's really not. A relationship is the bigger deal IMO.

Nope. Same terrible relationship.

Didn't the relationship FINALLY end? I could've sworn that I read a post from you that it was over.

We keep getting back together and trying again. This time around we're actually doing really well.

Yes you can, what are you on about? Is there some sort of magical barrier preventing it because I haven't experienced such a thing.

My comment was a reference to post #14 in which the OP said she doesn't want to have sex with him if he is having sex with others.

I was talking to Toodaloo specifically, not preaching to the general public.

I think for each couple it's different. With some guys I've dated, I've known after a few dates that we were at least headed in that direction. Then others I've dated for 4 months without the exclusive talk ever being brought up.

Everyone is different and moves at their own pace. It also depends how well you click with the person.

I'd say at least 5 dates.

Simple. We decided to have sex without a condom. I said, since we're having unprotected sex, let's not do it with anyone else. He said okay. Bang, exclusive.
