What happened?

So like this girl, she's a sophomore and I'm a freshman. She's in my jrotc class. And we just so happened to join the marksmanship team. (This was 5 weeks ago)

And ever since I met her I just make her smile and laugh all the time. One day she wasn't feeling so well and I talked to her to comfort her through it.so bla bla bla I started getting feelings for her and I thought she was starting to like me. On monday she and I talked and laughed at different times in the hallways n stuff. And before my last hour she tells Me she has to tell me something. And in my mind, I'm like, "does she like me. what does she need to say?" Then at the end of the day I ask her what she wanted to tell me. And she was blushing and stuff. And told me she would tell me tomorrow(which was tuesday) so I end up talking to her in the hallway today and she doesn't seem as happy and smiley as yesterday. Then after school we both stay for the marksmanship team stuff. And I asked her what was she trying to tell me. And she said she doesn't want to tell me. Then after marksmanship is over I'm trying to talk to her about it and she's like "if you haven't already found out, well too bad lol" and "its obvious" and then a couple minutes later she tells me she'll just let the curiosity kill me until I figure out (with a smile).Now its time to leave so I just leave and wait for her outside. She didn't come out so I just went back in. And she's with one of her friends and he's like "you should join drill team" and I'm like "why " and we talk n stuff and later he leaves. So shes just there and I ask her " is it that you like me or umm what is it" and she's like " no. just join drill team that's about it" "oh Ok" and I'm like heartbroken and ****. But I realized that she actually likes me. But today she kinda ignored me and didn't smile or anything. It was kinda like I was repulsive. I asked her for her number and she gave me her number. So I texted her and I didn't get a text back. Why would she just ignore me out the blue like that? What did I do wrong? Im going to tell her I like her tomorrow though. Is that a good idea?

You didn't do anything wrong. Teenaged girls are flaky like that. Be careful when you let her you like her. Do not use a word stronger than like. When you tell her can you manage to ask her on a date? Even if it's just to study with you or go to the football game.
