minimariah Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 how did your first time meeting (running into) an ex after a break - up look like? i think those 1sts are always uncomfortable & just... weird. you love this person and shared a lot of things (intimate!) with this person and suddenly... you know it's not a good idea to say more than a cordial hello. usually, NC starts after the break-up & i find it super awkward when i accidentally meet that person after that... suddenly, you are hyperaware and don't know if you should small or keep your face frozen or frown... the saddest thing is when your ex just passes without saying a hello. so share your stories!
Emma1a Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Random encounters (other than the 3 times we met to return things): 1st: 3 weeks post bu - on the street, he looked like ****, me looked pretty w my friend 2nd: 3 months post bu - on the street, he was holding hands w this girl, I was walking home w a guy I was on a first date with. That's when I started initiating NC 3rd: 5 months post bu, 2 months nc - he passed by the patio I was at. I was with friends, he kept staring when I turned away immediately. Not sure if he was with anybody 4th: 6 months post bu, just last weekend - at the entrance of the gym - not 100% sure that's him since I didn't wear my contacts. Pretty sure though. He was with a new girl this time, I was by myself 1
Candle037 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 For me my ex's act like nothing happened one I even stormed off after weeks of NC and he didn't register why I would be mad. All other ex's ignoring and pretending I didn't see them.
