Belle23 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I went to lunch with an old colleague and his wife the other day and I've been stressing about the impression I left. It's been awhile since I'd seen him, and I was equally excited to meet his wife. We clicked really well and I'd love to meet up more. But on my way home I realized that I didn't pay my share of the bill! It was initially all on one tab, but after we got to talking, it just slipped my mind to pay. I texted him immediately after I realized it and he said it was fine, but I'm really embarrassed! Am I overreacting, or did I just leave a bad impression?
smackie9 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Oh hell no, you have manners and followed up with a call to him. You must have horrible anxiety to be fretting over a simple mistake.
CarrieT Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 So... Extend an invitation for a second outing and emphasize that it is your treat. Easy. 1
