ashleybobashly Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I have been casually dating this guy since the middle of September. We have only gone on 1 actual date. We've hung out at his house almost every weekend since. My birthday is next week. I asked him if he planned on hanging out with me on my birthday weekend. Him: Maybe Me: Maybe? Him: Yeah Maybe. What are your plans? Me: No plans of yet, but I see how I rate. Am I looking too far into this? It doesn't seem like he wants to actually hang out with me on my bday. I really like him, but I'm the one who always texts first. I have decided that I'm not texting him anymore until he texts me first.
jam.over.jelly Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 He keeps you on the back burner. If he doesn't have anything planned I'm sure he will hang out with you on your bday if you hit him up. Do me a favor and next this guy. He clearly isn't interested in you. 3

You keep going over to his right? You keep texting first, right? As long as you keep accepting scraps, he will keep tossing scraps, and not one iota more. Change starts with YOU. You want change, stop accepting scraps! 3
adiamond Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 This guy sounds like he's not putting any effort to impress you or make you happy. I know you like him, but it's better to be alone than with someone who is going to hurt you in the future.
ExpatInItaly Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Meh, I don't think he's taking you very seriously. Stop initiating and see what happens.
Lovelorn00 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I agree. The biggest lesson I’ve learned from men like this is to move on. It’ll only lead to heartache if you continue.
