Riptide91 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Hey all, I have been dating a new girl for about 2 months. We really clicked when we met and things got semi-serious kind of fast. I'm really into her and I believe she is really into me. However, sometimes I get these feelings of self doubt or essentially feeling worried it won't work out. I think I'm getting these feelings from how my last relationship ended after my long term girlfriend left me. I don't want to ruin this just because of what another person did to me. Is worrying about where the relationship will go normal? Other than my ex I haven't been in many serious relationships if I'm honest. Thank you!
todreaminblue Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 when feelings of self doubt creep in ...do something physically....move......try to break the chains of thought.....this is a new relationship with a different person....you have to try and stop the self doubt and insecurities...so do something positive......that you enjoy doing for a while......keep your hands busy.......the mind will follow....deb 2
Methodical Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 The only way to reap full benefit from any relationship is to put yourself out there. Yes, you could get hurt again. Yes, wondering where this relationship will go is normal. We instinctually want to avoid heartache if possible. No, don't make your current gf pay for the actions of your past gf, or let what happened ruin your future. Do so gives your ex power over you, and you don't want that. FWIW, you're train of thought is spot on. 2
