ddlovexx Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Are there any books out there that I can read that would help? I'm talking about a terribly emotional abusive relationship. Name calling, gaslighting, NPD... Just plain mean and hurtful and heart crushing. I read the one about "frogs"... But I need more strength :'( </3
thecrucible Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Check out Natalie Lue's books and her blog Baggage Reclaim 1

It discusses emotionally abusive men/relationships, why women get involved. And how to leave and recover.
Author ddlovexx Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 I'll check them out, thanks. I've read all the cliche ones like "He's Just Not That Into You" but this isn't exactly a normal breakup. Feels more like a divorce honestly. I'm packing up and leaving when I get back home Tuesday. (I've been home all weekend for a friends wedding.)
Author ddlovexx Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Baggage reclaim is AMAZING. I can't stop reading. Thank you.
Eighty_nine Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 OP, I read all three of Natalie Lues books after my last breakup. They helped a LOT especially in understanding emotionally abusive or unavailable guys. Also, Why Men Love Bitches. Horrible title; spot-on material. Good luck.
