Ace799 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I've been split with my long term ex for 3 weeks and 1 day at this point, now i'm fully over her (I have the odd day like today where don't feel myself) but I can't seem to stop checking her Facebook and Twitter daily (I don't even have a Twitter account as well) and it doesn't hurt now but gets to me that she's so called 'happy' Does anyone have any methods or advice on how to stop checking her social media (her Twitter is the worse where don't have it and she barley posts on Facebook)
SoThatHappened Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 You're not fully over her if it hurts. Checking up on her is preventing you from moving on faster. You can block URL's on your phone or computer. I did that after I checked up on my ex after 1 year NC and found out she was engaged. That set me back a bit. Just don't check. That's probably the easiest. You have to treat the situation as if she died and doesn't exist anymore. Really.
Hell Yeah Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 block everything, its not worth it. I didn't block my ex and i actually didn't look at anything to my surprise But now i have blocked everything including her number which i now feel even better for. Don't waste your precious time looking at something that's virtual my friend 1

mystikmind2005 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Oh well, on POF they have a dating option, it says "wants to date but nothing serious" Perfect for the rebound!
TwiztidD Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 DON'T DO IT. I learned the hard way. Me and my ex for 2 years were never friends on Facebook. (I deleted my account for a few years.). When I got back on Fakebook, I went and looked at her public profile. What did I find? Pictures of her and her new guy, posts of them spending nights together....all before WE "BROKE UP". Needless to say, I have not recovered and it has been 3 months. Then again, we LIVE together.....so that's even worse.

My advice; get out of there as soon as possible. Especially if you're dealing with a cheater.
