My fiancé and I have been long-distance for ten months now (engaged for the past two months). (I'm in Dallas, he's in Canada near Calgary.) Just got back yesterday from an amazing six-day trip up there to see him (and his family) for their Thanksgiving, and honestly coming back I feel almost like I'm dealing with a mild depression being separated again! Usually I'm fine being long distance, but I think now that we're engaged especially (and I'm making plans and starting visa applications to move up there), Dallas truly no longer feels like home. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's struggled with returning to "the real world" after being reunited all-too-briefly; does anyone have any coping methods for getting over the post-trip blues?

Its suck.

Only answer is time. With time it gets easier. And focusing on visa and plans helps tremendously ;)
