johnbarnz Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 So my ex of 3 1/2 years left about a month and a half ago. Enough said. When i apply no contact she will text me something random. We spoke today and were talking friendly, in a joking matter i said can you just come back already, she said stop with a sad face. Then i said ok keep fighting it. She said I'm not i do miss you, can we not talk about this. then changed the subject. about a week ago she said she loved me missed me but does not want to be with me right now. I understand i need to give her space but its hard with this back and forth stuff. Whats going on here? help please. I want her back but i will move on if needed.
TaraMaiden2 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 It's very simple. She wants you in her life, but not sufficiently to want a relationship with you. If you are not ok with being relegated to the level of 'friend I used to go out with, but don't fancy being with any more' just carry on responding to her breadcrumbs. She gets uncomfortable when you put her on the spot because she doesn't want the guilt. She wants the reassurance that you are willing to be the patsy who just keeps taking the 'abuse' because it makes her feel good to know that in spite of having dumped you, she still gets your attention. That's one heck of an ego trip.... Please read the NC Guide (see link in my signature). It's sadly a pattern we see on here so often, I think what I should do is copy the above response, and simply paste it for the next person who appears with this issue. Yes - they're THAT frequent.
