TaraSue Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I was working in a USA CIA overseas, in my last day. i spent a wonderful walk/talk European nights with one of my coworkers. We flirted heavily but we did not cross the professional line. Once I got to USA, I sent him an email and then he started writing me weird things, like planning to discover X city in bike or traveling together through Europe. He is coming next week for a meeting in my city and I just want to know, why he is doing plans when prob I wont be transferred and do not believe in long distance relationships? are we dating? I have no idea, I really like him but the long distance thing is a break deal for me. he keeps writing me romantic things so im confused!
ExpatInItaly Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 No, you are not dating. You went out one time and it sounds like he wants to see you again. That's all. I don't get why you're confused. Does he know you don't do long-distance? Also, dating "in Europe" is a very general notion - which country are you referring to? Europe is comprised of many cultures which have their own approaches and attitudes to dating. I live in Italy so I can really only comment on Italian dating customs. You need to be more specific if you would like to get better feedback. 1
Miss Peach Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I agree the country would be helpful. For example a walk in France can be considered a date. The french don't really have a word for date. They use sortir which means to go out.
