Now the fact that she didn't offer a re-schedule option is a bad sign. Then again, if her grandpa is in the hospital, her mind is going to pre-occupied with that. After all, you're a guy she's only had two dates with. So my advice? Give it a week and allow her time to reach out to you. If you don't hear from her after a week, try reaching out and setting up a date one more time. If that busts, then walk away. THIS Best advice on this. We can't tell you if it is legit or not. Either way all you can do is give her time and space. If you were dating a long time, or more... then it would be really strange if she did not want a boyfriend there as an emotional support in a time of crisis. Personally I don't think it was legit. However I realize my own thoughts on this come from my own past which is full of lame excuses and sudden changes of heart well into dating. I really hope that isn't what she's doing.
