The man I am dating feels like my best friend. I do also really fancy him and care deeply about him.

 

Previously I've typically had close friends who I'm not attracted to OR guys I am very attracted to and get on with well but don't view as very close friends. But I've not experienced both things in the same person until now.

 

Is it "normal" to feel such a strong sense of friendship with somebody who is your partner? This is a new relationship so it's not like we've been together for years or grown old together or something.
